We had an awesome holiday weekend. Very busy and very fun. The kids camped out in our back yard in a tent, we grilled three days in a row, of course the kids made way too many smores, we spent the afternoon at the pool, we went to the fireworks and we had friends over Saturday night for drinks and sat around our fire pit talked until the early A.M.
Good times! How about you, how was your weekend?
First we watched Enchanted. We all agreed it was a really good movie. I think I liked it just as much as the kids. Susan Sarandon was perfectly cast as the wicked step mother queen. She even gave me the chills.
Then we watched The Water Horse. I can't say much about this one other then I couldn't stay awake. The kids both told me the LOVED it.

We had a great time celebrating my husband, my sister and her two sons birthday on Sunday.
We enjoyed way too much good food, lots of family and lots of laughs. I love the feeling of our house being that full and everyone having a good time. The kids even fit in a little Wii playing before calling it a day.
My husband is taking our daughter to her dental appointment after school and then surprising her with dinner at her favorite local restaurant. He went out and bought a cute Valentine gift. She is going to be thrilled. My husband and I don't do any thing more than card for each other on these types of days. It's pretty much all about her while she is young. We'll have our time again when she is older.
I am really hoping for some quiet me time today. I have a few items I want to put on Ebay, a couple of emails I need to answer and I have a little advertising I need to write on my main blog.
With my daughter up and already talking a mile a minute and bouncing off the walls this morning, this could be a challenge.
We woke up to seven degrees and some snow on the ground this morning. Too bad I have to make a trip out to the store today. I am out of Diet Coke and will NEVER make it through the day with out it. I am so not looking forward to cleaning my car and going. I think I'll go with in the hour so I can get it over with and get back home to my warm family filled house for the rest of the day. I see an afternoon of movies, snack food and video game playing here today.
Our latest Wii addiction is Rayman Raving Rabbids, oh my gosh they are so fun!
Having your mother in law move in with you and your family is so much harder then I had any idea. On a daily bases I feel that I am being tested in my patience and most days I fail terribly. I take it out on other things, like eating and really heavy mood swings. I don't even think this would easy if we got along before she moved in and were close. I am starting to feel like I am banging my head up against a brick wall. It really sucks. But I miss my life, the life I had before she moved in.
