First we watched Enchanted. We all agreed it was a really good movie. I think I liked it just as much as the kids. Susan Sarandon was perfectly cast as the wicked step mother queen. She even gave me the chills.
Then we watched The Water Horse. I can't say much about this one other then I couldn't stay awake. The kids both told me the LOVED it.

I thought it was such a well made movie. For a first time director Ben Affleck really pulled it off. I am thinking this is were he belongs and should just give up on the acting.
I kind of knew what it was about but not in great detail. Wow, I was surprised at how it sucked me in and effected me. The cast did an outstanding job and so deserve the Oscar nods they have gotten for it. I'll be pulling for them on award night.
This was one seriously depressing and fucked up movie. I could tell from the preview the acting was going to be over the top and over done but it was still worth watching. As long as you can handle how intense and violent it is. Also not a movie to watch right before going to bed. My husband and I both tossed and turned most of the night.
I was a bit surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. I think I liked it more then any other of the Die Hard movies. Bruce is still cool !
I liked this one even more. Of course I am a sucker for any movie starting Jason Statham so I may be a little bias. Good fun action with a little story line twist.
Some times this type of humor and action go well together and some times it just stinks. In my opinion, this one was a huge stinker ! The worst movie I have rented in along time.
Gerry and I watched the latest Ocean's movie last night. I can't help it, I am a sucker for these flicks. I wouldn't mind buying all three. Or finding all three under the tree on Christmas morning wouldn't be bad thing either.
Anyway, I liked this one a lot more then the last but not as much as the first. Defiantly worth renting if you haven't seen it yet.
I did a little movie watching over the weekend.
Friday night Bethany and I watched In the Land of Women, with Meg Ryan, it was pretty good. It was one of those chick flicks that I was glad to not have paid to see it in the theater but it would have made a great TV movie.
Late Saturday night Gerry and I watched Lonely Hearts, with John Travolta , again not worth the cost of going to the theater but for a rental, it was pretty darn good. Fifteen minutes in to it, I was sorry I rented it but then another twenty minutes I was glad I did.
My daughter Bethany and I rented this one over the weekend. I think we both liked it more then we expected. There were a few parts that totally freaked us both out. Of course it may have helped that we watched it at 2:00 in the morning with all the lights off.
I was glad we didn't spend the money on seeing it in the theater but for a DVD I felt it was well worth renting.
